VERY POOR QUALITY METAL; PURE JUNK

Rivets are so thin they can be squeezed to break. It says they are metal but they look and feel like low quality plastic. I found it impossible to apply them directly. I removed 4 times more than I had left and they look awful. It's a good thing there were so many because I threw away at least 20 sets to get 8, enough to keep. They are not folded straight and I'm not sure if they can support weight. They are so thin that they can be taken apart to remove them. Which I've done repeatedly just to get the 8's good enough to keep. You look pretty bad. And an awl is as cheap as rivets. The metal is soft; The cutting end collapsed and was flattened when trying to punch 8 holes in a leather strap. Luckily I remembered that my sewing machine came with an awl. It's a heavier metal and sharper. I had to use it to finish only 2 leather straps. The awl included in this set survived 4 hits before becoming unusable. I've never bought rivets before. I didn't read the reviews in a hurry. Other people report that the rivets are very thin and "squeeze" too easily. It's garbage. I wanted to return them only to find I had used them the last day to return them. They go in the trash. Don't ignore negative reviews. The phrase "you get what you pay for" is not always true. However, in this case it is.
