I foolishly bought a new MacBook that, like most current Apple products, was designed more for corporate convenience, arrogance, and insatiable greed than my user experience seems , consumer. I used to be able to connect my camera's memory card, headphones, and external hard drives directly to my computer. All of these things now require dongles of various types or multiports, and because of this lack of convenience I've spent hundreds of dollars more than previous laptops that included such basic niceties. If you've made the same unfortunate choice, you can use some things that you might not otherwise be able to use anymore. Enjoy your progress.
