I have to say that the Sharp Tailor Professional 8 inch BIHRTC sewing scissors are great for cutting knits and regular cotton fabrics. It's like cutting butter with scissors on these fabrics. However, I originally bought these scissors based on reviews of how well they cut denim. I used it to cut thick denim and was very disappointed hence 4 stars. It was difficult to cut, resulting in the edges of the fabric tearing. I was afraid to use them in my next project because the previous one came out. I've found them to work so well on knitwear and I use them when I'm cutting out fabric for a pattern. They are sharp and heavy. I would recommend this for a casual dress or light clothing.
