I'm a fan of smart wool socks, I have many pairs of high socks and knee socks. Both of the women's feet are size 6.5 and I always buy the Smart Wool small and I'm very satisfied with the fit. I wore cheap invisible synthetic socks for a while and finally settled on better quality socks. I bought these chic wool socks and wool socks from another brand. I was happier with the initial fit of these Smartwools compared to other socks I've bought, but every time I wear them they move more than any other no-show socks I have. They have a less aggressive silicone heel pad than other socks I own, I'm not sure if that encourages slippage or not. They seem to fit properly, but in the three days I've worn them I've been reaching for my shoes all day to adjust them. They seem to stay on my feet better when I'm not wearing shoes, so they're probably downgraded to house socks. They keep my feet a little warmer than the cheap synthetic socks I used to wear, but not enough of a difference to play around with all day. They are well made and have a bit of padding without adding too much bulk to fit tight shoes, but unfortunately they just don't fit me.
