Bought 2 pairs a few weeks apart. The first couple didn't go to bed. I made a mistake and sent back the second pair that arrived first. Tried the second pair twice because like someone else said. I really wanted them to work. Didn't realize I had them as long as I did and missed the window yesterday to send them back so not a $17 pair of socks I can't wear! I noticed these reviews are from 2019. Then why don't they mend the darning? You have a good reputation to uphold!

I am a fan of Smartwool socks and have had to replace a few pairs of no shows that I have worn out. Unfortunately it was a BIG disappointment. I liked that the fabric was softer and offered more padding than my other pairs, but the fit was disappointing. I ordered my regular Smartwool size but they don't stay on the heel even with grippy material. I should have read the other reviews before ordering but I trusted the Smartwool brand. I'm finally giving up on these socks! I used to love them and they were the only socks I bought. Something has changed and they just fall off, I've bought four pairs in the last year or so and I can't wear any of them. I wanted a pair like they have done before, snuggly, warm, dry and stay on the ankles. When I got my new and final pair last week I put them on and by the time I had walked ten steps they were crumpled under my toes and I nearly tripped and fell! Sorry but I will never buy them…

I bought these socks to wear with my shoes. I wanted something warm and unobtrusive around the ankle. I live in Iowa and my office has very cold floors. I have other Smart Wool socks for cold weather and am very happy with them. So when I looked for them and found them, I couldn't wait to try them out. I love Smart Wool socks but these don't fit. They are reliably warm, soft and comfortable to wear. However, the low heel cup (despite internal rubber strips) doesn't keep the toe on the heel. For reference, my foot size was in the middle of the sock size I ordered. They stay when I'm just wearing socks (usually, but not always). But as soon as I put on any shoes or slippers, they slip off after just a few steps. I'm just not going to wear heels in shoes, which defeats the purpose of using socks
