This thing sounds like a chair creaking loudly. In a normal room (not a quiet test room) it was 57 dB. I replaced it and the next one was just as loud. Hybrid mode gave me a choice of a consistently loud, annoying noise, or a less frequent but louder and more annoying noise with intermittent fan starts and stops. It wouldn't be so bad if the tone wasn't so high pitched and annoying, but it was driving me nuts. Seasonic said they did a quick test and it was within spec so they charged me for shipping and refused to upgrade to a quieter model. In this case it was poor and inflexible support. Now I'm giving away the power supply because I'm paying for a new one so as not to go crazy.
