This review relates to the Moukey MMS-5 desktop microphone stand. The Moukey MMS-5 Desktop Mic Stand is small enough to fit snugly inside the amp. Moving parts work reliably and well. The handles and boom binding are plastic, but they are well formed and finished. The base, vertical stand and pole are made of metal. I also have one of these mic stands on my computer with an Audio-Technica at2020 USB mic for scaling. Most other portable mic stands have long booms that get in the way when connecting other cables/devices. I bought 2 of these flours and then bought 2 more when I saw the benefits of using them with guitar amps. I plan to buy another one. What I don't like: The base can be a little heavier to compensate for the full reach of the boom (e.g. if I extend the boom all the way or even halfway with the sound). Technica at2020 USB mic, it tips over). The only thing I don't like is the 3 foam pads on the bottom of the base. They are thicker than necessary and introduce potential wobble if mic weight/boom reach are not carefully balanced. The design would have been better with a full packing ring. In general: I am satisfied. The parts work reliably, the design looks nice, the size suits my needs better.
