You get what you pay for. This is a cheap replacement cap and tip. The lid might seem cheap to you, but it's magnetic and stays in place for the most part. Then there's the advice I don't recommend to anyone. I bought this to replace the nib and it ended up breaking INSIDE THE PENCIL. Part of it ended up in the pencil and the tip broke. This rendered my pencil completely unusable. This nib wrote exactly like the original nib, but it's definitely not as durable, so if you buy one, be very careful with the pencil handling. One drop and that could mean investing in a brand new Apple Pencil. I'm a student so I use my Apple Pencil a lot and unfortunately the tip must have broken inside the pencil.
