I bought this to use with my PS2 and OG Xbox on my 4K TV which doesn't have component inputs. To be honest I wasn't expecting much as the price was very reasonable. Guess what?! The picture quality is better than the PS2HDMI gadget which plugs into the PS2's USB port for power supply. I assume the picture quality is better because the device is bigger? And since it runs at essentially all resolutions, there's no degradation or scaling or misinterpretation of the original signal. I'll see if I can take a picture so you can see the difference. 1st image is the HDMI device component. 2. Image is the PS2HDMI device with USB power cable. You can't tell from the pictures, but I can see that the PS2HDMI device has "fuzzy" interference that is not present on this component HDMI device. I'm also happy to be able to use the same device for my Wii, the original Xbox and my PS2. I would recommend this device to a friend and buy again if needed. I hope this will be helpful to you.
