Converts component and analog audio signals into HDMI signal. The resolution of HDMI output is the same with component input. This converter is used to connect YPbPr component source device(such as DVD, PSP, Xbox 360, PS2, Nintendo NGC ect) to HDMI display(such as HDTV, monitor, projector, ect). Maximum input resolution supports 1920x1080P. Note: does not support 4k. Audio Output Support uncompressed audio such as DTS Digital, Dolby Digital(including DTS-HD and Dolby True HD). Easy installation & operation, no software needed. Plug and play.

Burned out in about 2 weeks.

I used this thing to connect PS2 and Wii. Worked well for 2 weeks. Today it stopped working and when I checked the device there was a terrible smell and smoke coming out of the HDMI port. Sent back for a refund.

Ideal for composite connections

Facilitates the use of an older DVD player adapter or composite output cable with newer HDMI TVs. Now I can use my old DVD player with my new TV with HDMI inputs. The adapter also comes with an HDMI cable and a wall adapter, making it a great value. Picture and sound are clear. Highly recommended.

Doesn't work with many DVDs!

I am totally confused with this device. I bought this a few months ago when I got a new TV (and I use it with my old DVD player) and it worked with the Sarah Vaughn DVD I have. Lately I'm trying to watch movies, but the signal just disappears on the TV. I thought it was the device so I bought a new DVD player with HDMI - no problem. I'm out of my $25 for this thing though! DISSATISFIED!

The image quality is higher than expected for this price range. I am happy.

I bought this to use with my PS2 and OG Xbox on my 4K TV which doesn't have component inputs. To be honest I wasn't expecting much as the price was very reasonable. Guess what?! The picture quality is better than the PS2HDMI gadget which plugs into the PS2 USB port for power supply. I assume the picture quality is better because the device is bigger? And since it runs at essentially all resolutions, there's no degradation or scaling or misinterpretation of the original signal. I'll see if I can
