Built in resistors are key

I installed these on my 2005 Dodge Ram and they were very easy to install. They seem to work great and provide enough light without blinding other people on the road. It may be a trick, but when I unlock my truck, the light comes on for half a second. This is probably because the LEDs require less voltage to turn on. When the security system is checking that all lights are working, it inadvertently turns on the headlights.
