Review on 🌲 Delmhorst J-2000/PKG: Advanced Digital Wood Moisture Meter with Expanded Package by Warrick Batebi

In the profession that installs, sells or inspects hardwood floors, moisture meters are an absolute must. Failures are inevitable without a reliable counter. I bought this kit to complement a pinless gauge to get more accurate readings at different depths. One of the first things I did was call Delmhorst and get a job briefing and a plywood and OSB setup. They were very knowledgeable and friendly and even gave me more information than I asked for. The first time I used it, I immediately noticed a feature that I appreciate more about this meter than any other. Each time you insert pins into the material (after switching to the correct setting), you press a button. As you continue to work on the site, this counter actually stores your readings until you are done with the sample size (e.g. 20 readings). Then press another button and it instantly toggles between the number of readings taken, the average of those readings, and the highest reading. This is a HUGE time saver since we used to do it by hand. We then found that as long as the reset button is not pressed, you can continue collecting data even the next day by adding additional readings to the total and averaging them. Once again. I trust the reliability of this gauge more than any other I own. I haven't used the slide hammer yet, but when I do I'll update it. For installing and testing solid wood, this gauge is an absolute must.
