I am using a brand new Dell Tower PC with Windows 10. ALL SYSTEM DRIVERS AND BIOS HAVE BEEN UPDATED. I installed an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 from Dell. It has a DisplayPort, an HDMI and a DVI. I have two identical LG 27" 4K MONITORS tested separately on the same PC at 3840 x 2160. I have a MONOPRICE 2 Port DisplayPort 1.2 with a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) Hub (P/N 21972 ) connected to two different kits. identical DisplayPort 1.4 cables. I switched cables, switched monitors, used the monitors individually to make sure they could still reach 3840 x 2160. I double checked to make sure my System BIOS and my drivers are up to date With this product, my second monitor has never been able to reach resolutions higher than 2560 x 1600. I have given up the idea that this product will give me two functional 4K monitors .Now I am using a DisplayPort cable and an HDMI cable in a NVIDIA graphics card.I have emailed the manufacturer asking for help.I will see if they contact me with a solution en or are willing to accept a product return. Updated on 01/02/2021. I lowered the refresh rate to 30 fps and now have two working 4K monitors with Display Port MST. I haven't seen any messages from Monoprice. I was ready to return the product and thought I would give it one last try. I use this machine for business, so I'd rather have two monitors with the same resolution than one with an asymmetric resolution and higher refresh rate. (By the way, the DisplayPort cable connected to this hub is 16 inches long. I couldn't find this information anywhere in the description.)
