This is my second Rain Design laptop stand (I also have a mstand). This one is just as durable and adjustable. You have to have the laptop on the stand to see the adjustment, without anything on it it just springs back up. I actually use this lap brace because it's surprisingly good for that. Laptops are always too low when you actually put them on your lap, but this stand is stable enough with the 14-inch Dell Latitude 7490 to use on your lap while sitting on the couch. It really saves my neck. Some people complain that it's not stable for typing, but I found it good. Maybe their laptops are bigger and heavier. It's fine on a desk, but mstand actually frees up a bit more space since you can put things underneath. If you can just buy one, ilevel is definitely more versatile and imo worth the extra money. All of these coasters are very high quality, ilevel and mstand are made in Taiwan and are very durable.
