Pros

Excellent stabilizer, good bokeh due to the 9-bladed diaphragm. Confident autofocus (I shoot on the D90). Silent focusing with manual priority. Suitable for FF cameras. Minimum optical distortion. Fully justifies its price.

Cons

There is no limiter for the focusing system, it is sometimes necessary if you are engaged in photo-hunting for birds, for example. At the 300mm long end, clarity is noticeably less than in the 70mm to 200mm range.
