Review on Theralite Radiance: High-Intensity Light Therapy Lamp With 10000 LUX - Light Box For Sunlight Deprivation, Mood Improvement, And Bright Light Therapy by Teri Cantu

I already have a large heavy duty Theralite Radiance lamp and am really impressed with it. My only problem is that it is too big so I thought I’d try this more compact one. This lamp makes for a perfect bedside lamp or desk lamp while having the ideal lighting for light therapy treatment to rid yourself of the funk that can come with overcast and dreary weather.The lamp produces a warm, white light reminiscent of sunny summer days. It is very bright with only minimal adjustment. It works very well as a therapeutic light source in your peripheral vision or directly as a task lamp. One of the more interesting features is the built-in alarm clock, which has simple controls via four buttons. It has a built-in calendar. There was one slight problem with mine. There is a coil battery compartment in the back of the lamp which I assume is for keeping time when the lamp has no power from an outlet. Either the included battery was a dud or this feature doesn’t work on my lamp.The base has an odd circular design on top which is the bed for wirelessly charging your phone. Unfortunately, I have an older phone without this feature. Fortunately there is a USB socket on the back, so you can charge your phone with a wired connection which works for me. You have to plug your phone in and then turn the lamp on before it will start charging. So if the lamp is already turned on when you plug in your phone, the lamp needs to be switched off and back on again. I guess the lamp checks to see if there is a device hooked up when you first turn it on, if not, then no power is sent via USB.Overall I am impressed. The problem with the coin battery was only a slight niggle since I don’t move it around a lot. A shame that the battery backup for the clock didn’t work. Otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars.
