This light was exactly as described. It is a great addition to my son's homeschooling spot (darker room). I was surprised to learn that this product is not for use by those with macular degeneration. Since I have that condition, it's a good thing I only plan to use this as a desk lamp. I don't know if this light is going to boost my mood over time, but it is a nice, bright light. The one thing I really don't like is that it was kind of a pain to set up. The buttons to set the clock are on the back of the post, where the clock is.I guess the light also has a wireless charging pad, but I just plug my phone in, as it doesn't seem to do well with wireless charging.

I get compliments on this all the time, and people don't even realize it's for SAD! I love the clock and date and thermometer, plus the USB. The contactless charging is a little finicky, but I've come to expect that.

To start I will say that it has a very modern design. It looks luxurious and adds elegance to the place where it is placed. The lighting is excellent, it moves to the angle I want. It is light weight, easy to adjust, includes a port to charge the cell phone and a digital screen that makes it look luxurious. In these days with so many winter storms and apart from the Covid situation where we can hardly leave the home, this is a necessary tool.
