Doesn't lift bikes high enough

Does the job as a lift, but you can buy a more powerful lift for a lot less. As a bike lift, you're better off with manual bike pulleys. I have manual bike pulls and they pull the bike up to the ceiling and you can easily park your car in the garage. Not so with this one. First, as the highest point, the bike hangs 1 foot below the ceiling. Because it only grabs the bike from the seat, the front of the bike hangs about 4 feet too low and I can't park the car in the garage. My garage has a ceiling height of 10 feet. It needs to be modified to raise both the front and rear of the bike. Also, the hangers are so small that you have to lift the bike seat up a bit so they have room to grab the bar. This means you adjust your seat every time you raise and lower your bike. The hand rollers didn't require as much adjustment to the bike. The rubber on the hangers is cheap quality and disassembled for single use. They'll be scratching your bike in no time. I wanted this to work as we have 4 bikes, 2 of which are e-bikes and on heavier e-bikes the load capacity was perfect at 220lbs. Unfortunately, not being able to park cars in the garage is a deal breaker, and it's coming back. I need to buy 2 hand systems that can support the weight of an ebike which I found for $30 already. I could probably make some modifications to build something to tighten the front of the bike, but for nearly $400 what it costs I wouldn't have to. If you have a ceiling of 12ft or more then this is probably fine, but if you are trying to get bikes out of the way with a 10ft ceiling this is not at all the best option as you will still be doing this either have to dive or walk around the bikes.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Low maintenance
