Review on Allstar Performance ALL11017 Bleeder Bottle by Bob Kandravi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best single person bleed system in my shops

I've been trying to bleed brakes for years. I have a vacuum pump and a large one person primer box. None of them seem to work for me. Will the vacuum pump be seriously disturbed by the anti-lock brakes in my cars and the large vent box? Let's just say it's being redesigned. I bought this unit based on the reviews and the fact that it has a built in check valve. I've used it on 4 cars already and had no problems. In fact, I was able to flush the brakes on my wife's car with no trouble. A few things I do: a) Pump out as much old fluid as possible from the master cylinder. b) Make sure I keep the master cylinder. Cylinder filled with fresh fluid (learned the hard way) c) Make sure I have enough brake fluid (I used almost 3 liters to flush the MKX) d) I coat the exhaust valve base with grease (an old racer trick) . Let air in, don't suck back if threads are loose) Don't open valve too far. Open until liquid comes out. That's enough. f) Bleed the brakes while keeping the master cylinder full (see b) Easy.

Pros
  • Best in a niche
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others
