We have a new pool and boxer dogs that are unfamiliar with pools. Works well. Like the pen. Fits tight. Adaptable to all three of our boxer shorts (various sizes). And in the end our youngest didn't need it anymore and now he just swims like a fish. This is a great item for building confidence in dogs when they are new to the water. Because once a dog "goes under" or has had bad experiences in the water, it may never recover. Plus, it gives you peace of mind that your dog is protected. Our eldest doesn't like water, but he gets very close to the edge of the pool and falls in. We always keep it with him when he is outside with us when we are at the pool. LOVE IT!
