Excellent life jacket. I have a South African Mastiff (165lbs) and it was too big for him. The fact that I had to exchange them for a different size doesn't even bother me because my boyfriend never gets big enough. The life jacket is very long and is well suited for an XXL breed such as an English Mastiff/St. Bernard.

Great value for my needs! We got this vest for our 190-200lb American Bullmastiff and the XXL fits him perfectly when the straps are fully extended, although I prefer to cross the back straps as he is male (see photo). We originally bought this vest to build his confidence in our pool but turns out he just loves wearing it. The vest survived more than 15 swimming sessions perfectly. Great product and value.

I knew the vest would be a bit long but I went size XXL for my Great Dane to make sure it would fit and keep him in the water. It protrudes a little from the back, which wouldn't have been a problem, except that the rear clip had a prong bent to one side and broken. (See photo) If this clip fails I'm afraid the vest will slip to one side. I won't be able to test it in the pool until the weather warms up.

I have a 4-6 lb Yorkshire Terrier that refuses to swim in the lake. This item was a waste of money. My dog is a really good swimmer, but we were going on a multi-day canoe trip so I wanted to protect her. I used the size chart and measured my dog and the vest didn't fit me at all so I had to order a size up. Although I managed to fit it around the trunk, it was too long and didn't fit properly. I bought this for a large West Highland Terrier (not obese). The straps that run under his belly are not adjustable, and the rear ones cut into the poor dog's privates.
