Review on Guardian Gear Aquatic Dog Preserver: Keep Your Canine Comrade Safe in Water by Katrina Davis

I bought this for a large West Highland Terrier (not obese). The straps that run under his belly are not adjustable, and the rear ones cut into the poor dog's privates. That probably wouldn't be a problem if he were. However, after being in the water with him a few times, he relaxed and the life jacket did the trick, allowing him to swim without drowning. He never could swim. This size fits him in length and diameter and I feel like the smaller size doesn't fit. It seems well done, but I don't know how it will last until next summer. Bought it mainly for emergencies when we have it in the canoe. This year I haven't been able to look at other life jackets at various pet stores as they are not widely available so I will continue to use these until I find a better one. I found the Outward Hound Medium Vest at TJMax. Solid flotation goes all the way around and under the dog. No straps to cut through. This is a much better design and fits my Westie.
