I bought this to help with fuel management for our fleet of 7 buses. This prevented our fuel tank from draining at least 3 times. The standard flow rate appears to be for diesel fuel. There's a formula that refineries use for volume versus temperature, but the readings were pretty accurate. Usually within 10 gallons. More than 3,000 gallons of #2 diesel flowed through the flow meter. This allowed the organization to see which buses are more economical for special or school trips. It also helped with fuel management to prevent unscheduled refueling due to faulty fuel gauges. These are 1 inch fittings.
