I bought this voice recorder to secretly record conversations with doctors. You speak faster than I can hear. Now I can replay conversations and be sure I understand their instructions and information. This voice recorder works well. It can't be connected to a PC or other recording device to create a permanent copy of a conversation, but I was aware of this limitation before purchasing. This may be the reason for the low price compared to other models. The sound quality meets my requirements. I could not set the date and time function even though I carefully followed the instructions. I don't need this feature and I'm not sure if the voice recorder is to blame. The recorder is about the size of a thick pack of chewing gum. The controls are simple, well-labeled, and intuitive. When recorded in a shirt pocket, it picks up the sound of the shirt fabric moving. To avoid this, I wrapped the recorder in a soft lens cleaning cloth. This eliminated the shirt noises. The mic is on the top end, so I placed the red LED that shows it's recording on my chest to hide it from view without losing sound. For anyone who wants to record conversations for later playback, this voice recorder works and the price is right. I see that it is currently unavailable. I'm glad I bought mine back then.
