Review on 🍿 Cuisinart EasyPop Popcorn Maker CPM-700 - Vibrant Red Color by Jack Malloy

I had the previous model of this popcorn machine for several years. Eventually the locking mechanism connecting the top to the base broke on both sides - after many uses. The top was still in great shape. I received my new popcorn in May 2016. We probably use it once a week at most. The first thing I noticed was the discoloration of the upper, as if the plastic couldn't take the heat and oil. About a month ago, a crack formed in the upper part and went down. I can still use it but have to be very careful. Now the top grates will begin to crack and release steam. It seems that they fixed the problem with the base but changed the material in the upper part for the worse. It's a shame because it's great popcorn. I like it because you get by with a lot less oil. I would not recommend buying until the plastic issues are resolved.
