Chalky, immiscible, sandy, lumpy, huge portions. but it tastes good.

didn't bother me at all. It was incredibly lumpy, like I mixed it with milk and stirred it, even though I used hot water. It left a dried film on the mug and a few lumps around the mug, some of which were very large. There were so many I knew I was losing protein and just had to scrape it into my mouth. The product tastes like instant cocoa, although I didn't want to drink it right away because of the lumps. It is also EXTREMELY calcareous. As soon as I open the can I smell dust. and it tastes chalky too. The scoop is also very large (35+ grams) given the 24 grams of protein in each serving, so I'm not sure what the other 11 grams or roughly 33% of the product is. I know that of course there won't be 100% protein in every scoop. but I feel like no matter how big the scoop is and how gross and chalky it tastes, I'm not getting quality protein at a good price. Since the spoon size is so big, the servings are also smaller. It tastes like cheap casein, which you can buy at your local store for $18. I was hoping for better quality. Because it is so chalky it gets dirty and the cups are very difficult to clean because they are so lumpy and rough. I wonder if other ingredients used for flavoring are causing all of these problems. Perhaps this is one of those protein brands that places so much emphasis on flavor over mixability, portion size, and lime. The powder also feels thick and sticky. I also know what I'm talking about, casein is not new to me. I've been drinking casein every day for about 5 years, so I know a lot of brands to compare it to. I buy another brand of casein that mixes well, leaving a few small clumps at the bottom at best, which is normal for casein. and it tastes good. It mixed well too. It was easy to clean and was a good dry powder. I guess that's what I get when I try to save $5-$10 on casein. I think if it wasn't flavored and had more blending additives it would be a good buy.
