I researched this item thoroughly before purchasing as I was skeptical. The truck stalls as soon as you open the door, which is weird but like the description says it has to do with the truck itself. This is even done by professional versions of trim levels equipped with an OEM remote starter. If you live in a colder area this is a great buy as it is a very cheap upgrade that you can install yourself. I have to say that the installation was a bit more difficult than I expected just because I have big hands and some of the electrical components were harder to reach, but it took minimal and you won't realize it's there. My only "complaint" is the 3 consecutive keystrokes to activate. It's not the kit's fault as it's the link between the fob and the truck that controls it, but it's a bit annoying when you think you've activated it but one of the 3 lock button presses isn't registering was, so it did not start. But with the remote start kit there are no problems! Get it if you want.
