Review on BMC Discovery Data Pump by Chad Siofele

The tool was pretty easy to use once I got familiar with it - but even after that, you need some technical knowledge to make sense of it. For example, I couldn't figure out what "Data Flow" meant - so that made me feel slightly intimidated at first (and it wasn't until I spoke to someone else who used it that I realised it's not necessarily that bad). Once you get over that hurdle, though, it is very intuitive. We are using it for ETL from multiple sources, and transferring data into our BI platform. It has been pretty seamless so far. There is nothing really I dislike about this tool, though I'd be interested in trying other tools if we needed to do heavy lifting with more complex data flows.
