Review on Dorman 923 237 Select Lincoln Trucks by Tutan Hesch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent product, time will tell

As with other reviews, I loved the quality of finish (particularly around the edges and screw holes) a slightly lame pp The inner edges of the screw holes were rough. The top edge matched the photos from other reviewers and was chipped off a bit. The mounting screws are screwed onto the lantern vertically and there were no gaskets or rubber washers to prevent water ingress. I ended up lubricating the threads just below the screw heads with sealant to keep water out. If you want to get to the main harness connector it is well held in the hole (passenger side) and difficult to reach. Outside. I'd recommend dropping the rear headliner into the cabin to get there, it saves you a headache. I was a little concerned when tightening the screws that the holes would break. At the same time, I heard a small crack on one of them, but nothing appeared outside. When tightening, be sure to press the lamp firmly with your hand. Overall it looks well established. Edge trimming doesn't matter much because of their location. Works well. I'll probably keep an eye on that to make sure the hole areas aren't cracked. Will be updated if problems arise. Not bad for the price, but on the limit. The time will show.
