Review on BLACK DECKER BFTU107 7 Inch Turbo by Sarah Watson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

1 stopped working immediately, 2 stopped working after 3 months.

I don't really like writing negative reviews unless the project really fails. Bought two of these fans. The room I use for my 3D printers doesn't have any real circulation, so the room tends to get warm after a few hours of 3D printing. I found that excessive heat in the room sometimes resulted in frustrating misprints. I bought these fans to mount over my 3D printers for extra airflow and such. no more misprints. However, one of the two fans did not work in the delivery state with the fan speed set to 2. Must be a bad switch? Because settings 1 and 3 worked. The problem was that the airflow on the second setting was perfect for what I was using the fan for. So I sent it back for exchange. The replacement (now my 3rd fan) worked fine, but now after 3 months setting 1 on the fan stopped working a few days ago, then setting 2 on the fan stopped working a few days ago, now setting 3 enabled. the fan does not work. The fan is just dead. It has a one-year warranty, but how long am I willing to spend getting a $20 factory replacement fan? So we're looking at 3 fans and a failure rate of 66%. And I wouldn't be surprised if the one remaining fan stopped working each day. That's pretty pathetic considering I have several other bigger box fans and weirdos that are 30+ years old and still work great. If you are looking for a small table fan I would suggest looking elsewhere.
