That's good. It prevents things from slipping away. Can't say it doesn't slide on the dashboard. But for the most part it does what it's supposed to do. I'm updating this based on a recent experience I had. The thing holds up surprisingly well. The carpet does not move when it is loaded and what is left on it stays. I drive a Jeep with a manual transmission, so it gets bumpy. The other day I went out and bought some food for a couple of people. This meal came with drinks. Look at the picture! I didn't touch any drinks the whole way home. Thanks to this rug, they made it perfect.
