I was taught to tell people that USB cables lose strength after 6 feet. So you should try not to use a printer USB cable that is longer than 6 feet if you want to avoid this problem. Well, the company I work with had some old HP printers that worked fine on the network with Windows 7, but after upgrading the computers to Windows 10, they started having connectivity issues. Since the best competing option was to replace older printers with newer ones, I bought one of these 25ft printer cables to see if physically connecting printers to computers with USB cables would improve connectivity and save them a lot of money would. I was partially surprised that it worked over such a long distance, but this cable was just what I needed to help them get out of the predicament they were in. I will be very happy to buy more of this cable if we need more.
