I first saw this brush at my son and daughter-in-law's house. They bought two; One for my 7 year old granddaughter and one for my sister in law. Both have long, thick hair. Like most young children, my granddaughter has a sensitive scalp and detangling the tangles, even with the help of combing, was an ordeal for her. This comb put an end to tears and her anxiety about hair care. I tried her comb; liked it and bought it. My hair is coarse and shoulder length. I love how it feels on my scalp and use it every day. It's called a "wet" brush, but your hair doesn't have to be wet to use it. I bought the wet brush for blow drying, but the basic style wet brush is just as nice!
