Purchased so my parrot (Australian budgie) can sit with me at my desk while I work (and almost anywhere I choose to use him to put down) . I think the concept of attaching the bowl is a great idea, although I've noticed that my parrot will sometimes get its claws caught between the bowl and the mount, but not in a way that causes any injury or concern on my part or that Parrot. And I think he's learning not to try to grab the rim of the bowl but to keep his feet on the perch when he's grazing. The only modification/option I would have preferred is a smaller girth perch that is better suited to the grip of smaller paws/parrots/parakeets. But. It's not like my bird sits on it for hours, so it's no big deal. Great little training pole (also appreciate that the round base at the bottom doubles as a poop trap). Thanks for coming up with this cool little design!
