Review on 🌬️ Efficient Cooling with the Delphi CS0121 Air Conditioning Compressor by Jim Worthington

Disappointing at best. Like other reviewers, Clutch was purchased in 2011. An extremely clean and complete install on an 84K system that has never had any component failures. Both ACDelco and Delphi have been used for decades. The car originally came with a Delphi supercharger and a quiet, relatively quiet 84K, but replaced the supercharger while other repairs were being made. A similar other GMC I own has done over 140,000 miles on a Delphi supercharger with an excellent service history and relatively quiet operation. Used PAG 46 oil as verified by Delphi Technical Support and car 03 originally fitted with PAG 46 not 150. (Documentation with supercharger says PAG 150 but went on to say originally used in the car) A contradiction , to say the least. When charging, especially noisy operation due to lack of oil (but in the flushed system, oil was carefully added to each component, and the compressor was turned on manually on the stand when the recommended amount of oil was added before installation). Then release the clutch or something. or disengagement when the clutch disc is press-fitted. We checked the release and found at best .0005 on one side. Delphi Technical Support has stated that this is designed to compensate for long life and normal wear and tear. But the noise level from the clutch with the A/C compressor off was unacceptable to me and I just couldn't hear it from the brand new system. Unfortunately it could not be confirmed if just one of the hundreds of compressors made was too loud or if it was a new and improved compressor of a model to suit more car - specs. Perhaps this would be acceptable for a Topkick medium-duty truck. Documented and returned with all the praise from Revain and received a recommended over $$ ACDelco OEM compressor. while. Perhaps the model recommended by ACDelco for the aftermarket will be used in the future.
