Good product, not disappointed.

Nice branded filter. With 24-hour operation, and flushing about once every two weeks, it can work for many years. Proven in practice.

The weak point is the cable. Over time (after a couple of years of use) it dries out, becomes hard, and may crack at the bend, care should be taken when washing. With a cable damaged in a wet area, it is dangerous to use the filter, you will have to change it.

The bearing and impeller are practically eternal. At first there were some concerns about this, but practice has shown that in these filters the impellers do not fall apart and do not begin to rattle over time, as in Chinese ones.

Pros

Inexpensive, durable filter. Better than Chinese. Aquael has been producing them for twenty years, with minor changes in design. Quite simply arranged, it is convenient to disassemble / assemble and rinse. If you do not use an additional valve with aeration tube from the kit, it works almost silently.

Cons

There are hard-to-reach places in the filter housing, where, when washing, you can crawl only with a small brush. Filters manufactured ten or fifteen years ago had softer cables. Now, apparently, out of economy, they began to put worse. In a large model, Fan 2, you need to look more carefully when snapping a glass with a filter insert, if you do not stick the glass into the body until it stops, it may unexpectedly bounce during operation.
