Stick to OEM! in engine cooling and air conditioning

I've read way too much about removing brand name water pumps and the impellers either rot or the pump just sticks. I replaced my Ford Ranger's water pump, which looked surprisingly good, but as a best practice I replaced it. Installation was easy, and with some fumbling to remove the old one, the new one snapped into place with no issues. I tend to stick with the OEM on things like this just for peace of mind. So far this has worked great on my truck for over 6 months. —Nigel.
