I bought two sets of boots to give my two donkeys an expensive 90 minute ClearTrax solution treatment. This treatment requires that the boots be removed after the hooves have been soaked in the solution for 45 minutes, deflated and reattached for an additional 45 minutes to allow the gas from the solution to enter the hooves. I used a set for each ass so the pair of boots was a total of 3 hours on each! Donkeys hate being tied up and they just won't stand still and try to kick off their boots. I was afraid that the boot would tear and I would lose the solution. There was a lot of outward movement, but the boots held; no leaks, no breaks. On the other hand, the donkeys could almost shed their boots because while the top boot strap is inelastic and can be tightened, the other two (two for each boot) are weak and elastic. I threw them away and used the compression straps to tighten the boot and keep them from loosening; useful perhaps for a quiet animal, not a donkey. After realizing they couldn't take their boots off with the tie down straps, the donkeys calmed down and I got a much better score than I expected. All in all a big plus for this product. I have to repeat this treatment in two months and I can reuse these boots and use my first application experience to make the second application faster and smoother.
