Review on Idea Works Waterfall Soap Saver: Save Soaps and Money with this Efficient Device! by Kristy Lamoreaux

Flaws but it's ok

I have this lovely lilac colored soap which I love but try to use infrequently - the price is as generous as the scent. So that I can enjoy it longer, I hold the soap (dry) in the shower and enjoy the scent that the steam releases. This way I can use soap once in a while but enjoy it every day. (And the little flowers at the top stay on quite a bit longer.) Before I get out of the shower, I remember to drain all the water that has collected in the bowl around the soap. It doesn't matter how beautiful or expensive your soap is - after it sits in a wet dish, it becomes sticky, rough and sticky. After seeing great reviews about it - and loved the design in the photos - I was hooked. to get my new soap dish. I'm just not happy that I have it now. It's ok, nothing special. The photo shows plastic that looks almost like porcelain, and people have remotely referred to it as porcelain. Not the one I got - mine was matte white plastic with scratches. Lots of scratches. I give one star for that - looks almost used. Came in a plastic bag - no tags and no retail packaging. I was a little surprised by this box when I set it on the counter in the shower - the lilac soap is round and probably about 2 inches thick - but I struggled to keep the soap on the prongs. It's definitely made for rectangular soaps. It may seem obvious but most soap dishes/holders are rectangular so I didn't think it would fit. (The bowl I had it in is rectangular.) I took half a star for this - the bowl needs to sit very close to the rim due to the distance between the spout and the leg. If your suds are closer or farther from the edge of your sink, you're out of luck. Took another half star because there's no weight on the bottom. There was a rubber washer of sorts on the bottom of the foot, the extra weight of the foot itself or a suction cup on the bottom of the footrest. Things get wet, they tend to slip. If there was a small foam/rubber disc on the bottom or small feet it would increase the usability of this soap dish. This isn't "bad" by any means - there are several factors that I think could be improved. I will keep this and use it for regular soap. I also like the idea Grumpasaurus had (another reviewer). Wait - I love his entire review of this soap dish, including the comments. Using it as a sponge holder was a fantastic idea. If I ever use a sponge stick I'll have to buy one first. And I guarantee I won't add it to my cart without adding this soap dish. There are several design flaws that make it not worth it. how could. There are many other "soap dish" style soap boxes that work just as well (or better) than this one. This is a cool design that will extend the life of your soap and save you the trouble of removing the gross semi-liquid/semi-solid badass from the bar the next time you use it. I'm glad it has worked so well for others and I wish it could serve my needs better.
