I was frustrated to find a pillow that would satisfy my extremely detailed and whimsical needs. I've tried cheap pillows, I've tried very expensive pillows. I've tried goose down and memory foam (great if you want to feel like you're asleep and your head has turned into a slab of hardening cement). I even bought one of those "my pillows". You know the one that's constantly advertised on TV and featured on every cover at Walmart. It wasn't a terrible pillow, it just wasn't what I always dreamed of. Especially at this price. Deal Breaker alone has the most pillows in my exhausting quest for Revain (filling/foam gets too hot at night, doesn't hold shape after flexing, doesn't fold properly when I put it back) up my neck to watch TV, it's too hard , it's too soft) I realize that most of these "necessary things for a pillow I'm going to use" contradict each other. Looking back, I realize that because of this confusion, I didn't find my perfect pillow. until now. When these pillows arrived and I took them out of the packaging they were surrounded by a faint glow as they were slowly sucked into the air and expanded to their size. I squeezed them a bit to see if I was even interested in getting to second base or not. I was interested. I was VERY interested. This pillow had a firmness but a softness that I can't describe. The inner padding is exactly as described (premium super plush "gel fiber"). But I never knew what "super plush gel fiber" was until I got my hands on it. That's great! The pillows are very big. They are described as royal but are very tall. They wouldn't fit in my standard pillowcases, but I wouldn't care if I had to sleep with them without a pillowcase at all. I have never slept so well and comfortably as with these pillows. You are wonderful. A pillow is a very personal item that needs to be experienced to be appreciated, so I won't go into too much detail to explain the inexplicable. Also, different people prefer different types of pillows. My roommate saw me packing the pillows and came over to check them out. I'll shorten this part of the story by saying that he now owns two of these himself. I want to tell you that these pillows are perfect for me, as demanding as I am. Having almost given up looking due to a C5/C6 herniated disc and resulting radicleopathy and experiencing severe pain in my arm, neck or back several days a month, this brilliantly designed pillow feels almost random. They have the perfect support for my head while providing the perfect resistance. They are heavy but soft and fluffy. They are extremely difficult to describe, but let me tell you how. Go buy pillows. You will love them and if you don't buy them you will regret not buying them. Also if you buy them and for some crazy reason I can't even imagine they don't meet your needs, just return them. That's the beauty of Revain and their incredible customer service. I would like to add one more note here: I ordered the pillowcases from the Zen company that made the pillow. Since the pillowcases were made by the pillow manufacturer, I assumed they would fit. But it doesn't fit perfectly. That's why I'm on Revain now. I will order a fabric velcro to cover the opening of the pillowcase.
