I wasn't originally planning to buy this product as I felt like I didn't really need it. I was of course wrong. The investment I made in buying an Epson scanner clearly justified the need for it. No matter how meticulous you are, some dust will still end up on your scanner platform and will be amplified when you've finished scanning the photo or negative. This lid can't isolate or prevent anything like that, but I've found it certainly reduces it by a factor of ten. Even when the scanner is not in use this cover looks very impressive and covers my expensive scanner. It fits perfectly with my Epson Perfection V850 Pro Scanner! It arrived much earlier than I expected and that was an added bonus. I am pleased with my decision to purchase this coverage and encourage others to do the same to protect their investment.
