My ceramic wood has aged and these lamps have refreshed it. The only problem I had was that when I took out the old lantern, the hole in the ceramic wood was smaller than the post in the new lantern. I solved this problem by taking a small file and gradually opening up this hole to allow new light to enter. There were new colors in the lighting package that didn't exist when I made my tree in the 1980's. The finished tree was beautiful.
