My husband saved the house from burning down with it. He installed 1 inch pipe for a handrail on the steps leading from the garage to the kitchen. He knew there would be lots of sparks when he welded this pipe to the house. He placed this fireproof cloth on and around the steps. When he finished welding the handrail, there were many brown spark spots on this fabric. The house is still standing - it hasn't burned down or even caught fire. money well spent.
