I have AKG K-271 STUDIO headphones. They are already 10 years old. So you just don’t want to wear them, they sound very dry, detailed and cold, they are only suitable for looking for jambs in the recording. So I decided to buy something more pleasant-sounding, suitable for home studio and to play bass and guitar in them sometimes. Listened to 4 models in Doctorhead: AUDIO-TECHNICA ATH-M40X SHURE SRH 440 SENNHEISER HD 280 PRO SONY MDR-7506 I listened to different music in them: guitar instrumental, djent, metal, jazz, K-pop. SONY did not enter right away, the upper middle was strongly lifted up, they reminded me of my AKGs in character (why do I need another one). I liked SHURE and SENNHEISER more, but somehow AUDIO-TECHNICA rolled in right away. Exactly what I wanted - fundamental bass and transparent highs. The middle is even, nothing sticks out, which is extremely important for high gain guitars. Yes, they paint the sound, but they do it beautifully. By the way, jambs are also immediately noticeable in them, especially in the region of high frequencies, so the lugs turned out to be universal.
