In theory this seemed like a good idea to make getting the jet ski on and off the trailer easier. I have brand new $20,000 skis so I wanted to make sure I was doing my best to keep them new and scratch free on the body. However, this product did the exact opposite and actually caused scratches and scuffs to my case. I installed according to the instructions but during installation I noticed that the edges of the corners weren't entirely smooth and my intuition told me not to do it but I saw good reviews so I figured it wouldn't be a problem and i will give it a try. Unfortunately, after the first use, I noticed that the housing was scratched and worn out by the guides. I'll take them off and send them back. I will again soak my rug baskets before putting them on. If it ain't broken, don't try to assemble it! I am very disappointed and now I have to figure out how to take the ski off the trailer and put it somewhere where I can polish and reseal the bodywork.
