I wanted to wait a few weeks before writing this review to really get a feel for this product. I had never heard of a duvet cover before but the concept caught my attention as did the price. I've been looking for a new duvet for weeks, reading reviews to see if the duvet will fall apart after washing. Looking at the price tags of some kits made me sweat. Pooh! So I immediately thought about it and bought this set, thinking I didn't have much to lose for such a price. bed and especially a sheet to wash with. The first touch struck me with how soft and silky they are. Now I don't like the feel of satin material, and I don't like it at all. My husband and I were able to fit our old duvet right into the duvet with no difficulty or confusion. It took less than a minute. The buttons close quickly and smoothly, the buttons are clear so they are easy to blend. I bought the queen size which is correct. The color is exactly the same as shown in the product description, goes perfectly with the color scheme of my bedroom, I like the plain quilt because I use the design elsewhere. At this price I can use any color and change it as often as I want. I have two girls at home who love to snuggle up to my bed. My eight year old daughter immediately asked if she could get her to change the color of her blanket. As for sleeping, the first night I slept like I was in a coma. I woke up and didn't want to get out of bed. So soft and cool to the touch. By far the best sheets I have ever had and I will NEVER go back to regular ones. The funny thing is I paid a lot more for linens at a clothing store and they feel itchy and crusty. I fell in love with this duvet! As for washing, I read online that you can wash this material in hot or lukewarm water for free. ! The reason is heat can melt the fibers and ruin this heavenly blanket and I will definitely cry. I freak out every night after a 12 hour shift on my feet (pediatric nurse) and climb into bed and feel the soft blanket, just amazing. I will be buying many more sets of each color for my girls and I! You will not be disappointed! Oh I wanted to add that I thought my old quilt would curl up in the quilt but that is not the case at all and I have no problem seeing the old quilt either.
