My wife ordered them to replace a blown bulb in her signature Scentsy cake burner and they didn't work at all. Most of these burners use halogen bulbs to generate a lot of heat and are more like LEDs. They generate practically no heat. After the bulb was installed and left on for 30 minutes, I was able to remove the wax tray and put my hand on the bulb without burning it out completely. It was warm, but not hot enough to radiate enough heat to heat the bowl and melt the wax. We ended up going to the store to buy real halogen bulbs to replace them. I can't speak to other brands of wax melters, but I assume they all require the same amount of heat.
