WHY I BUY THIS: My windshield phone holder kept falling off due to vibration; In addition, it has lost suction power due to dust. For these reasons, I decided to try the vent mount. IT WORKS OUT? This vent mount uses a metal hook to securely attach to the vent. Once you tighten the knob, the mount doesn't move at all. In particular, the bracket rests on the underside of the air outlet, which prevents the bracket from vibrating when driving fast. I like the swivel as it allows the phone to be positioned at any angle. It's not like my 2002 Mustang has the phone covering the AC grip. I don't really mind as I can still (with some difficulty) turn it. I have used this mount with iPhone, Samsung S6 and Google Pixel. The spring bracket can firmly fix all phones easily. The Google Pixel has a particular design where the volume rocker isn't at the top of the phone's sidebar, but closer to the center; Because of this, you won't be able to increase/decrease the volume if you don't position it correctly. Unfortunately, removing the mount from the vent takes some time, which can be an issue if you don't plan on leaving it installed. VERY EASY TO REMOVE - It covers my car's AC handle I've tried an air vent mount and I'm impressed: it's so much better than a suction cup mount and I won't be going back.
