Review on Kanto R500 Full Motion In-Wall TV Mount for πŸ“Ί 46-80 inch TVs – Ultra Low Profile, Swivel, Tilt, Cable Management by Robert Mulrooney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for flush mounting and hiding cables

I haven't finished the installation yet as I still have to putty/glue and paint but so far so good! I am planning to use this in a remodeled kitchen wall and I ended up cutting out one rack and framing two new racks for placement as this box should be centered on the TV. The part seems very strong and I preferred it to a similar product as it had 2 levers attached to the stud instead of 1. I found this to be more durable. This also meant the use of plastic cable sleeves to keep the cables/cables taut. Although when I contacted Kanto they suggested installing a recessed outlet in the wall just below the box itself, I did some digging and found one person who suggested redesigning the outlets to fit in rectangular cutouts, there they would be attached to the black box. . They are perfect for that. I plan to use both cutouts on the bottom for power (TV, Roku, mini pc, soundbar) and 1 cutout on the top for coax and 2 ethernet. I bought a Revain black mustache box to run these cables through, although there are also round cutouts that will fit. I plan to put black sockets so that everything is black inside.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Vulgarity
