My dog just loves his carrier. I bought the same one when she was a puppy 4 years ago and when I got another dog I ordered another universal (USB) gym bag for the new puppy. I have 6 pounds. Pomeranian and she fits very comfortably in the carrier with the ability to roll over and stretch out in the carrier. She needs to feel absolutely safe in it when we fly (monthly) because if I take out her holdall the night before the trip, she immediately jumps in and nests in it. When we arrive at our destination, she sometimes sleeps in it of her choice on our visits away from home. Loading and unloading my dog from the carrier is very easy for me by removing the zipper at the top. The removable fleece floor mat is machine washable and the Velcro lined side panels can be attached if you are in a very cold cabin/environment or if you have a pet that freezes easily. Since my dog has a double coat, I don't fill in the sides for maximum ventilation. The backpack fits easily under an airplane seat, and its good design does little to draw attention to the fact that I'm traveling with a dog unless I open one of the face vents so he can stick his head out. I recommend using a tether inside the carrier to attach to your pet's collar so that if your dog falls asleep in flight and learns to unzip the zipper, your dog can't get out of the carrier and look for friends in the aisle . oops :) A nice feature of this USB carrier is that it has a small compartment for storing treats and a compartment for storing pet bags. Haven't used all the convertible features of the bag yet, but you can buy accessories to attach it to your bike and adjust the straps for different carry lengths. You and your small pet will love traveling with this versatile and convenient carrier.
